What is so Healthy about a Hill?

Top 6 Tips to Tackle ANY Hill (physically or metaphorically):

  1. Aim to maintain your pace. This may mean keeping your speed locked in or choose to slow it down, even if it is a walk. Know when to scale back to pass the finish line and listen to what you need, not what others are doing.
  2. Keep eyes forward.
  3. Lean slightly into the incline.
  4. Smile, because it stimulates your brain’s reward mechanism.
  5. Enjoy the recovery plateau at the top.
  6. Celebrate the downhill ride.

Where does Healthy Hill come from?

After completing my YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) I had the urge to change my IG handle to something that would encompass a variety of topics not just yoga, food or photography. The name is a play on words of my married name Hemphill and applying good Health to your life because it is not easy, it is a challenge to maintain or gain.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you! Ammirite!?! The name Healthyhill stuck and I haven’t turned back. Be a Hill seeker because Healthy Looks Good on YOU!
