Don’t shy away from props in yoga! Not sure when our ego’s got in the way misleading many that usage of props are a sign weakness when in reality it is the opposite! They make us stronger and actively engage our muscles. They add support, height and assist in deepening poses as well as lengthening. I’m still recovering from a car accident so I am extremely grateful to have many props as recovery tools to gain back lost strength and mobility.
The most commonly used ones are listed below, some maybe new to you. Consider props like an accessory to an outfit, they compliment your yoga practice in the best way.
